What should be the order of our priorities?

The Bible, divine inspiration, tells us that we should not have other gods before Him and, placing anything else or anyone else in the center of our lives would become automatically a god for us. God created us to praise, worship and serve HIM with all our being and our possession including our time. It was crucial for me to cut on my overtime hours so I can focus on how to find my way back in my wife’s daily life by helping her with the household chores. I was amazed to be back in my kids’ daily lives, see their progress by spending time with them playing, doing homework and learning from them.
I would strongly suggest to anyone and give that advice to anybody who cares not only to listen to it but at least to think about it as well.
There is more to life than overwork. Life is a gift from God with many layers of surprises, therefore it must be appreciated. There is a life that is waiting to be enjoyed. There is a book that will probably change some of your erroneous thinking sitting on the shelf of the library waiting for you to be picked up and read. There is a nice song that will uplift your spirit and soul waiting to be heard. Also, there is a place that has the possibility to amaze you waiting to be discovered, there is someone special that will be like a real brother or sister to you waiting to be met. There is a movie that will entertain you and give you good laugh waiting to be viewed. Unlike me who hate to taste new food, there is a gourmet meal that will delight you beyond your expectation waiting to be tasted. There might be some friends who care for you waiting to be called and invited to get together for a good time. It is possible to have a spouse whose desire is to be intimate with you to show love, appreciation and acknowledgement waiting to be that special one in your life. I am certain, inside of you, there is a child who wants to have fun, clown around, kick ball and jump waiting to be released. Your body might be screaming for rest waiting to be relaxed. There is a mind overloaded with a full year agenda waiting to be emptied and be at peace for a while.
But the most important There is God, your creator, WHO is willing to reveal himself to you, set you free from the yoke of sins, spend time with you one on one, listen to your concerns, heal your wounds, solve your problems, quiet your storms, walk with you through the darkest valleys of your life, bless your endeavors, protect you from harm, guide you to success and love you unconditionally.
It is time for us to fix our priorities because God should be our number one priority than our family, friends, work and so on.
